The goal of my lessons is to make people connect their body and mind through movement. To make this connection happen I highlight my classes with the understanding of the Pilates method 6 principles : Center, Concentration, Control, Breathing, Precision and Flow.

About myself
When I discovered the Pilates method, I was working in a office, my posture was poor and my neck and shoulders weak. With a regular practice of Pilates, I was able to notice my bad posture and correct myself, my movements in everyday’s life have improved; I also became more resistant to stress conditions and productive at work.

About myself
As I was working as a dance professional in New York, I felt that strong core and body were essential. With a recommendation from my dance teacher, I decided to get my Pilates teaching certification. As I was able to strengthen the core through Pilates, I believe that I was able to stand on various stages in New York without having to go through major injuries. I am still a working dancer. I would like to spread the knowledge and experience I gained through teaching Pilates in New York to our Japanese community.

Yuki lived in New York for 6 years and received her training from Joseph Pilates’ direct teaching group. Yuki shares the joy and benefits of Pilates in an inspiring, yet challenging atmosphere where she applies the principles learnt at the studio in New York.

Every day is different and every body is different. I aim to meet clients where they are at any given time to achieve their own goals; whether that is to move with less pain or discomfort, build strength and mobility or to help maximise their own potential and performance. I endeavour to design classes that challenge the whole body in an interesting and inspiring way.

About myself
I discovered Pilates after suffering an injury from running and bad posture. Once I felt the transformative power of the method I was instantly hooked! I have been practicing Pilates for more than a decade now and gradually moved away from the corporate world where I was working as an accountant, to teach Pilates and I have never regretted it! I love what I do and I feel honored to be a trusted companion for individuals on the journey towards improving their movement and living a life with less pain and restrictions.
I am a mother of three young children, originally from the UK and moved to Tokyo at the start of 2020 from Shanghai where I was teaching Pilates and Barre.

About myself
Yumi lived in Johannesburg, South Africa for 20 years. Previously worked in a corporate world, got married and eventually sought out new inspiration in Pilates. Coming from a non-athletic background, Yumi gained many inspirations from her own body that was once stiff and inflexible and the benefits of Pilates was such a joy. She continues to attend various workshops and continues her education to further her knowledge.

About myself
Mariko discovered Pilates while undergoing training as a ballet dancer abroad. She found Pilates very effective and complementary to ballet training. Mariko is a certified Pilates instructor since 2006, and has experience teaching at Sports club, Ballet and Pilates studio. Mariko moved to Germany and pursued her career as a contemporary dancer. During that time, she experienced severe injury and other unfortunate medical condition which required surgery. This incident weakened her overall body condition, however Pilates has helped her to bring back her core-strength and lead to full recovery. She was amazed by the benefits that Pilates has brought about for her, and hopes to spread the wonderful results that Pilates can bring about for everyone.

Satsuki strives to support physical and mental health throughout the class and have everyone leave feeling refreshed and invigiorated.

From a young age, Satsuki has always been active and enjoyed various kinds of sports and activities such as dancing, swimming and volleyball. However she suffered from minor injuries at times due to being unconditioned and the lack of strength. One day, Satsuki took up pilates and noticed significant changes and improvements. Ever since then she's been passionate about pilates and about helping people through pilates.
Satsuki is also a physio-therapist with abundant knowledge and experience to draw from. Her passion is to share her knowledge with others on how to move correctly in order to avoid injuries. Let's enjoy pilates!!!

Originally from Osaka. After graduating from Osaka University of Arts, I performed in theme parks and large-scale musical productions. Experienced various injuries from lumbar stenosis, meniscus injury, ankle ligament rupture, neck pull, and muscle rupture. When I became afraid of dancing for these reasons, I happened to come across Pilates. With the practice of Pilates, I realized that my physical problems steadily improved.

About myself

Started ballet from an early age. Started Color Guard in junior high school and high school, participated in national competitions for 6 consecutive years. After graduation, moved to a team in America. Participated in the world tournament for 5 consecutive years and was ranked 1st and 2nd as a team.

When I got hurt, I met Pilates and Yoga. Wanting to deepen my Pilates practice further, I advanced to the teacher training program of BDC PILATES and am currently active both as a Pilates instructor and a Yoga instructor.

After graduating from School of Letters at Kobe College, she pursued her career in musicals, TV drama, CF, etc.. In 1998, she moved to the U.S. to enroll in the graduate program in dance at NYU. During her studies, she starts teaching Pilates to dancers at Peridance Studio. Currently, she continues to teach at Peridance Studio as well as hold private classes at Kane School of Core Integration, Movements Afoot in NYC.
She has now gained reputation through answering to the diverse needs of her clients through detailed and thorough Anatomical approach and observation. She popularity also comes from the adequate exercise and methods she provides for each and one of her clients, especially on the alignment of the pelvic bones.
She is a Gramercy Pilates certified Pilates teacher, as well as locally certified Lucy Dutton Thai masseuse. She is also active in the field of dance choreography, where she partakes as the artistic director and choreographer at the AZUL DANCE THEATER in New York. Her works also consist of Ailey Citigroup Theater, 92nd Street Y, Peridance Capezio Theater. She has also received scholarship from CUNY Dance Initiative and Queens Council on the Arts as she continues to build her career also in choreography.
