I take a simple and honest approach to teaching, bringing to life the importance of building strength, flexibility and balance in both body and mind. My classes are high-energy, tailored to individuals of all fitness levels and have a focus on postural alignment, breath and fluid mobility. I like to teach engaging, empowering and challenging classes with an underlying focus on anatomy and the Pilates principles.


About myself
I am deeply passionate about health and wellbeing and believe in the importance of a strong body and mind. After graduating from college, Mariko went on to pursue a career at a firm. Having suffered lower back pain coming from long office work and scoliosis, she truly understands the pains and aches people suffer in their daily life. About myself
In 2015, Yuki gave birth to a baby girl by caesarean section. She hopes to share the wonderful benefits of doing Pilates for Pre & Post-natal clients, as well as clients suffering from injuries and discomforts caused by aging of body.

About myself
When I discovered the Pilates method, I was working in a office, my posture was poor and my neck and shoulders weak. With a regular practice of Pilates, I was able to notice my bad posture and correct myself, my movements in everyday’s life have improved; I also became more resistant to stress conditions and productive at work.

About myself
Up till 13 years ago, I was an office worker and a house wife and did not have much to do with fitness. To lose the weight I gained giving birth to my second child, I started working out where I got a back injury. To fix the issue, I started taking Pilates and that is how I entered this world of Pilates. I was inspired by the depth of the method as I took more lessons and decided to study to become an instructor myself.
Lived in Singapore for 14 years, and returned to Japan in January 2019. Mother of 4 children.

About myself
Yumi lived in Johannesburg, South Africa for 20 years. Previously worked in a corporate world, got married and eventually sought out new inspiration in Pilates. Coming from a non-athletic background, Yumi gained many inspirations from her own body that was once stiff and inflexible and the benefits of Pilates was such a joy. She continues to attend various workshops and continues her education to further her knowledge.

About myself
Mariko discovered Pilates while undergoing training as a ballet dancer abroad. She found Pilates very effective and complementary to ballet training. Mariko is a certified Pilates instructor since 2006, and has experience teaching at Sports club, Ballet and Pilates studio. Mariko moved to Germany and pursued her career as a contemporary dancer. During that time, she experienced severe injury and other unfortunate medical condition which required surgery. This incident weakened her overall body condition, however Pilates has helped her to bring back her core-strength and lead to full recovery. She was amazed by the benefits that Pilates has brought about for her, and hopes to spread the wonderful results that Pilates can bring about for everyone.

About myself
Acquired her mat pilates teaching certificate at BDC PILATES and she is now enrolled in the machine pilates teacher training program at BDC PILATES.
Rina started taking classic ballet lessons as a young child and she still dances jazz dance at this time. Noticing unbalances in her body, she started taking pilates lessons to first improve her dance performance level. However, she now feels the difference in her everyday life. She is an avid learner fo pilates and continues to research ways to improve human body alignments.

About myself
Mayumi performed in number of stages and events as a professional Theme Park Dancer. She suffered numerous injuries and lower back pains during those years. This is when Mayumi discovered Pilates as a way to recover from injuries and body pains during her career as a dancer. Mayumi obtained her certification for Mat and Reformer Pilates during her residency at Dance Company, New York. As a Pilates trainer, she instructs both group and private sessions.

Saori emphasizes the importance of recognizing the position of your hip and shoulder joints. The stabilization of hip, ribcage and spine is crucial to maintaining the correct joint position supporting our body. Her session aims to relax the tensed muscles by bringing focus to each precise movement of the body. Saori’s goal is to improve alignment and execution of each exercise for smoother joint movements.

About myself
Saori started taking Jazz dance lesson from the age of 15, and performed in numbers of events. She studied contemporary dance in New York and appeared on numerous events and stages. Saori encountered Pilates when she suffered from left hemiplegia due to scoliosis. Saori has been teaching Pilates since her return to Japan, and in line with devoting herself as a Pilates instructor, she continues her education on human anatomy and Osteopathy. As an instructor, she draws inspiration from her knowledge on Yoga and astrology.

After graduating from School of Letters at Kobe College, she pursued her career in musicals, TV drama, CF, etc.. In 1998, she moved to the U.S. to enroll in the graduate program in dance at NYU. During her studies, she starts teaching Pilates to dancers at Peridance Studio. Currently, she continues to teach at Peridance Studio as well as hold private classes at Kane School of Core Integration, Movements Afoot in NYC.
She has now gained reputation through answering to the diverse needs of her clients through detailed and thorough Anatomical approach and observation. She popularity also comes from the adequate exercise and methods she provides for each and one of her clients, especially on the alignment of the pelvic bones.
She is a Gramercy Pilates certified Pilates teacher, as well as locally certified Lucy Dutton Thai masseuse. She is also active in the field of dance choreography, where she partakes as the artistic director and choreographer at the AZUL DANCE THEATER in New York. Her works also consist of Ailey Citigroup Theater, 92nd Street Y, Peridance Capezio Theater. She has also received scholarship from CUNY Dance Initiative and Queens Council on the Arts as she continues to build her career also in choreography.
